The earlier Z750 and Z800, the standard Z900 and Z1000, and the Z900RS family do not use one universal brake, axle or ABS configuration. A wheel that is correct for a Z900RS should not automatically be treated as correct for a standard Z900, and the same caution applies across the other capacities.

Kineo gives each application the visual depth of stainless-steel spokes together with the convenience of a genuine tubeless wheel. On the Z900RS and Cafe, that construction supports the modern-classic character. On the sharper naked Z models, the spoke pattern creates a deliberate custom contrast without pretending the motorcycle is a period replica.

The tubeless design does not rely on tape or an inner tube. Its nipples sit outside the sealed tyre chamber, leaving the rim bed free from spoke holes. The wheel structure combines CNC-machined 7000-grade aluminium rims, forged aluminium hubs and externally accessible stainless-steel spokes.

Different Z Models Need Different Checks

A Kawasaki Z model name is only the starting point for fitment. The production year, ABS status, original discs, axle components and sprocket-side hardware all matter. Later electronics and brake packages can also differ from earlier versions bearing a similar Z designation.

For that reason, the order notes should identify the motorcycle as precisely as possible. State whether it is a standard Z model, a Z900RS, a Z900RS Cafe or another listed variant, and describe any changes to the forks, calipers, discs, spacers or drivetrain. The final configuration is checked before production.

Choosing A Finish

The same finish will not have the same effect on every Z model. Black rims with a restrained hub can keep a later naked bike visually compact, while polished or contrasting details can reinforce the Z900RS and Cafe styling. Rim, hub, nipple and spoke colours are selected independently, allowing the wheel set to follow the motorcycle’s paint and existing hardware.

Fitment And Ordering Notes
