The Ducati Scrambler 800 and 1100 families include road-focused, classic-styled and more rugged variants. Kineo applications have also been listed for the 800 Desert Sled, but its suspension, brakes and original wheel dimensions differ from road-oriented Scramblers. They can suit an understated road bike, a cafe-influenced conversion or a more adventure-oriented motorcycle when the correct size and hardware are confirmed.

Kineo wheels are true tubeless wheels from the outset. Spoke nipples sit outside the sealed tyre chamber, so there are no spoke holes through the airtight rim bed and no need for an inner tube or taped sealing conversion.

The wheel system combines CNC-machined 7000-grade aluminium rims, forged aluminium hubs and stainless steel spokes. Rim, hub, nipple and spoke colours can be selected independently.

From Road Scrambler To Desert Sled

An 800 Desert Sled may use a different wheel and suspension setup from a road-focused 800 or a Scrambler 1100. Tyre style alone does not determine compatibility. Exact year, variant, brake and ABS information is required before production.

For mixed-surface use, choose tyres approved for the selected rim width, motorcycle load and intended terrain. The wheel set does not change the need to follow Ducati and tyre-manufacturer guidance.

Road-oriented Scrambler owners may prefer a finish that preserves the simple factory palette, while Desert Sled and custom builds can use contrasting components to make the wheel set more visible. Colour choice does not alter the need for an application-specific hub and brake arrangement.

Spoke condition and tyre pressure should be included in normal maintenance. Riders using unpaved roads should inspect the wheels after significant impacts and should not treat tubeless construction as protection against rim damage.

Installation should be completed by a competent motorcycle technician. Brake-disc alignment, ABS sensor clearance, tyre direction and fastener torque all need to be checked before riding.
